During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 navigation and maps apps on iOS in the United States exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides valuable insights into the performance of these apps.

Google Maps maintained strong weekly downloads throughout Q3, fluctuating between approximately 440K and 535K. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 24M each week.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 231K and ending at approximately 155K by the end of September. Active users also showed a slight downward trend, from nearly 10.8M to 10.3M.
